Ground Beef Sisig


I want to share with you one of my favorite dish and my Damulags(sons) too! This is the alternative recipe of Sisig that i tried since i can't find any pig ears here in my place. It's easier to cook too and it tasted like real sisig. Whenever i feel like to eat and craving for sisig this is what i cook.  =) I hope you find it tasty too! =)

Ingredients:
  • 1 lb. ground beef 80% lean or ground pork
  • 1/2 cup chicken liver or 4 oz liver spread
  • 1 large white onion - minced
  • 2 tbs minced garlic or 1tps garlic powder
  • 1 pc lemon or 3 pcs. calamansi
  • 3 tbs soy sauce
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp ground black pepper
Instructions:

  1. In a pan, saute the ground beef until brown then add the onions.
  2. Put-in the garlic and cook for a few minutes
  3. Add the chicken liver and cook until well done.
  4. Crush the chicken liver while being cooked in the pan
  5. Put-in the soy sauce and lemo juice then mix well
  6. Add salt and pepper to taste
  7. Serve hot.

Cranberry Pecan Muffins with Chocolate Chips



Cranberry Pecan Muffins with Chocolate Chips 

Ingredients:
  • 2 1/2 All purpose flour
  • 3/4 cups white sugar
  • 1/4 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 3/4 cups dried cranberries
  • 1/2 cup roasted pecans
  • 1/3 cup semi sweet chocolate chips 
  • 1 tbs baking powder
  • 1 1/2 cups  fresh milk ( i used 1% fresh milk)
  • 1/3 cup of vegetable oil
  • 1 large egg
Instructions:
  1. Heat the oven to 400° and butter the bottoms only of 12 regular-size or 6 jumbo muffin cups.
  2. Mix all the dry ingredients on a mixing bowl and stir using wooden spoon or whisk.
  3. In a separate bowl, mix all the liquid ingredients.
  4. Pour the liquid mixture in the dry ingredients and blend it to 1 to 2 speed until smooth.
  5. Spoon the batter into the muffins cups (3/4 full)
  6. Bake the muffins on the center oven rack 15 to 20 minutes for regular muffins or 20 to 25 minutes for jumbo muffins.
  7. Serve warm and ENJOY! ;)
  8. For the left over muffins. You can put them on Ziploc bag and refrigerate. 
  9. When you feel like to eat, just put it in a microwave for 10 seconds.
